Technological advances and globalization put us increasingly into contact, through a variety of media, with people from different backgrounds and cultures.  Communication skills are often challanged by these changes.  I offer an intercultural communication workshop to assit individuals confronting the problems that may arise when people form different backgrounds, who often have divergent assumptions and expectations about each other, are required to interact.  The workshop is a spin off of my teaching experience as an anthropologist and has been presented to counselors and teachers in the public school system.  The workshop would be appropriate for schools, businesses and medical organizations interested in improving communications among and between supervisors, staff, colleagues and clients.
